“You want to get on the map? We should just go convince a town to change their name to Half.com and that will put us on the map.”
Josh Kopelman is the story of uber lemonade sales kid who seemingly effortlessly parlayed his entrepreneurial talent to a $350M exit of Half.com.
Josh launched his first company during college and took it public after only a few years. Josh is now recognized as the gold standard in early stage venture capital and his midas touch continues, having invested in companies such as StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, and del.icio.us, much of which he chronicles in his popular blog, Redeye VC.
He has one of the best instincts in his generation and an understanding and empathy for entrepreneurs and that is why I’m Obsessed with Josh Kopelman.

YouTube… ouch
Josh has added another fan!
As a born-again entrepreneur it is nice to see the cream of the crop.
We may have to talk very soon Josh.

What an excellent interview. So informative!
Josh, I am friends with Kristen Utt, one of your very first employees at Half.com! I’m also a Philadelphia-area start-up entrepreneur, with MyWikiBiz.com.
Thank you, Samantha, for this insightful interview.
