Samantha Ettus interviews gossip queen Paula Froelich

Paula Froelich is best known as the editor of Page Six, the world’s most influential gossip column. Nonetheless, she still thinks of herself as a journalist, who shifted from covering finance to gossip almost 10 years ago. She has now added novelist to the mix as her second book and fiction debut: Mercury in Retrograde, hit stores this week. Paula approaches her craft with an intensity that leads her to excel at her work and that is why I’m Obsessed with Paula Froelich.

Loved this interview-fascinating! She’s worked everywhere it seems: London, India, Asia, Los Angeles and, of course, NYC. I was watching The Devil Wears Prada last night, thought of the same thing (eventhough I loved the book/movie), it was a “slap in the face.” She’s one of my favorite gossip peeps and, of course, what she said was great and true, she’s “a good secret keeper to be a good secret teller.” I can’t wait to read her new novel. Thanks Samantha and Paula!

Loved this interview. I think she touched on some amazing things. I totally agree with her that a lot of people get tunnel vision after they graduate from college and enter the career world, only to find themselves in a situation where life throws a huge curve ball.

I had that exact same thing happen to me a few years ago, and it culminated in what I believe has been the most wonderful and life changing event in my professional life yet. I don’t for one second think that I would have been nearly as happy in the software world, as I am now as helping people get through this economy.

    Thanks. @GerardoRitchey
