Leading man of hair, Frederic Fekkai arrived in New York at age 25 from France and launched his self-named company in 1989. His celebrity clientele has included Heidi Klum, Debra Messing, Hillary Clinton, Beyonce and Victoria Beckham. He sold his company, which now boasts eight salons and a line of luxury hair products, to Procter and Gamble in 2008. He built an extraordinary brand from his inherent sense of style and his passion for hair and that is why I’m Obsessed with Frederic Fekkai.

It is one of my goals in life to have a cut by Frederic Fekkai! (I can’t believe I just admitted that outside of my inner circle of friends). He is such a lovely person and always consistently the same in every interview I have seen him in.
Every woman whose hair I have thought was beautiful was cut by Fekkai! Growing up and seeing Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer with such beautiful long billowing hair made me admire Frederic Fekkai’s skill as a craftsman for almost twenty years now. Having had long hair my whole life, what I noticed about Fekkai’s style was that he could actually cut and shape long hair, instead of the twitching hairdressers I had over the years just itching to make mine short.
Thanks Samantha for interviewing Frederic Fekkai, you did a great job!

Samantha, based on watching the Fekkai and Ripert interviews tonight, it is clear you are getting more comfortable in front of the camera. As a result, your guests seem more comfortable, the conversation is progressively more substantive, and, more importantly, as a viewer, I’m drawn to the warmth you exude as a host. Keep up the great work! - EM

Loved Frederic Fekkai, he is an optimist. What he said about our economic situation is “part of life and we needed it…and it will correct itself.” That is how I view things as well.
And he did make another great point, “people don’t pay enough attention to themselves.” Most people worry about others and do neglect themselves.
Cheers to another lovely interview, Samantha!
