As the son of coal miners in rural Virginia, odds were that Thomas Jones would have had a tough life. Instead, his strong family support, discipline and hard work led to his career as the New York Jets star running back, having played in the Superbowl for the Chicago Bears and started in last year’s Pro Bowl for the AFC. Thomas is one of seven children, five girls and two boys; both sons ended up playing in the NFL. His younger brother, Julius Jones, is a running back for the Seattle Seahawks. Thomas graduated from UVA in just 3 years, completing the majority of a masters program during his 4th year. Thomas Jones the product of extraordinary discipline, exceptional work ethic, and inner strength and he has already achieved what many dream of..and that is why I am Obsessed.
Enjoy,
xO,Sam

Glad to see a little football on Obsessed.
Always been a Thomas Jones fan, but probably a bit more now. Still not a Jets fan, but not a Jets hater either.

I am a huge Jet fan, but honestly Thomas Jones was not one of my favorite players. I respected his ability but I felt like he came across as not a team player. After this interview, my opinion has completely changed. He really seems like a down to earth guy with a good heart and a great life story. It obvious the media can totally obscure the truth and portray a person anyway they want. Great interview and good luck to Thomas and the Jets this year.
