AJ Jacobs is a best selling author and “human guinea pig”. His bestselling memoir, The Know-It-All, chronicled the year he spent reading the entire Encyclopedia Britannica in a quest to become the smartest person in the world. In The Year of Living Biblically, Jacobs detailed his full year spent following every rule of The Bible, from the Ten Commandments down to stoning adulterers. A periodic commentator on NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday, Jacobs is editor-at-large of Esquire, and has appeared on Oprah, the Today Show, and Good Morning America.

Neat guy, good interview. His wife is a saint! I felt like at one point I was watching what could be a Vaynermedia interview with a potential client. that also would be fun to watch. Help AJ, Gary and AJ! We would love to see more of him on a daily basis.

AJ Jacobs was a great guest.
I think i might try Radical Honesty.
It’s sounds like a lot of fun. Good things or bad things, i’m sure that no matter what happens it’ll be funny to someone.
This guy must have SO MANY great stories.
I bet he could set up a video blog of just him telling stories about things that have happened to him in the past.
I know i’d watch.
More guests like this guy would be great, more interesting than the hand bag lady, but maybe that’s just because i’m a guy.

Nice. I was interested on more details on stonings. Seems it would be difficult today

Samantha - great interview! I am sure its a lot of fun when you have a very interesting guest. I will be back for more interesting content.
I wish AJ would have consulted a biblical pastor to help him understand which old covenant laws are still observed and which one were completed by Jesus. I will have to check out his book, it does sound interesting.

AJ was a great guest. I have heard him on NPR before and he is always so compelling. He worked so well on this show because he truly is curious and obsessed with whatever he chooses to be involved in at the moment. His outsourced life article for Esquire was really entertaining.

I totally would pay $5 for a part of his beard

Fun guest. I remember hearing about AJ a few years back and became instantly drawn in to his commentary.

Nice job you guys.
Choosing AJ Jacobs as a guest was like choosing the right song to sing on American Idol.
AJ is one of those peeps that just brings instant humor and stories that you can’t pull out of just anyone. They flow out of him.

As one of AJ’s Facebook friends, I hope he takes up Samantha’s idea. I’d love to have a beer with him.
So Gary, did you get his beard?

Never would have found the site if it were not for GV. Good call. I really enjoyed it. All three of you were hysterical. I also am now interested in AJ who is really clever and funny. When people ask me why I twitter, I always tell them that for me it is about expanding my horizons and discovering great “stuff”. It is all about the people you follow. Thanks, I’ll be back.

Samantha, I’m a first time viewer and I’m very impressed with the show. AJ was a great guest. It was pretty funny to see a guy that looks “nerdy” but it actually very interesting and humorous. I look forward to your future episodes and catching up on the past ones.
Gary V keeps knocking it out of the park!!!

AJ Jacobs is wonderful. Super intelligent and hilarious. We had him as a guest speaker at our church last summer, and he was incredible. Thanks for having him on! The show was amazing!

What a great episode of Obsessed. I’m another newcomer to the site and after watching the Gary V interview I decided to try out some of the others.
I had never hear of AJ before, he came across as a great guy and I have already purchased his ‘The Know-It-All’ book.
I look forward to seeing what other great people you draw our attention to next.
